Dear Child and Adult Care Food Program Operators:
The California Department of Education (CDE) Nutrition Services Division and the Fresno City College (FCC) California Professional Nutrition Education and Training (Cal-Pro-NET) Center are pleased to announce that the 2017–18 Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) annual online mandatory training is now available. This training is for agencies that operate or sponsor child care centers, adult day care centers, emergency and homeless shelters, day care home sponsoring agencies, and at-risk afterschool agencies. TheCACFP regulations require each agency participating in the CACFP to ensure that at least one person with administrative responsibilities for the CACFP complete this state agency-provided training. The 2017–18 annual online mandatory training topic is CACFP New Meal Patterns (NMP).
Note: If your agency attended the mandatory training preconference session on the CACFP NMP at the 2017 Child Care Food Program Roundtable Annual Conference in Squaw Creek, California on October 23, 2017, and received a certificate of completion (COC) from the FCC Cal-Pro-NET Center, your agency has satisfied the 2017–18 annual mandatory training requirement.
The deadline for your agency to complete the mandatory training is June 22, 2018.
The FCC Cal-Pro-NET Center will issue a COC to individuals who successfully complete the online training and score 75 percent or higher on the online course’s final quiz. We recommend that you retain your COC as verification that you have completed the course.
The FCC Cal-Pro-NET Center staff will verify your successful completion of the training. Once verified, staff will notify you by e-mail and you can then print your COC.
