The National Anti-Hunger Organizations (NAHO) came together to issue a statement (pdf) in mid-December restating our commitment to ensuring a strong and effective national nutrition safety net for vulnerable, low-income individuals and families and calling on the incoming Congress and the President-Elect to safeguard and support these critically-important programs.
Action Needed: We now are expanding the reach of this common message to include national, state and local organizations demonstrating the diverse groundswell of support for the federal nutrition programs.
Deadline: This letter will be a key advocacy resource for the National Anti-Hunger Policy Conference, March 5th-7th in Washington, DC. For more on the conference, click here. Please sign your organization onto this letter by Wednesday, March 1st to ensure your organization is listed in the Lobby Day (March 7th) materials.
NAHO aims to get thousands of organizational signatures. To achieve this level of support it is imperative that we all reach out to our networks in every state and Congressional District. We urge you to disseminate this advocacy ask as widely as possible.
This sign-on letter will be shared with all Members of Congress and the new Administration. Questions? Email Joel Warren, firstname.lastname@example.org.
